Simply put, we are inviting all neurologists and neurological advanced practice providers to be part of the Indiana Neurological Society. We are all colleagues in the care of neurologic patients. We are privileged to have a neurological society that is well run, provides great value, and continues to thrive while many surrounding states do not have a functional society. In fact, our state society is a model for similar organizations throughout our country.
Note well, there are many reasons to see the value of the membership in the INS. We can help to teach, mentor, and model for our next generation of neurologists. We are easily able to engage are professors at the Indiana University. We can direct our own education and CME courses by choosing topics for the future. Each year, a total of 8 hours of exceptional CME courses are provided at the most cost effective rate available anywhere. We are privileged to have some of the brightest experts in neurology come to our events to speak to us. We can interact with our colleagues, peers, and mentors to improve neurological care for all residents of Indiana. We have direct access to advocates such as Dr. Tom Vidic, Dr. John Kincaid, and Dr. James Stevens, the president-elect for the American Academy of Neurology. These individuals are well informed as to important national and state policies and speak directly to our national and local leaders. Through the INS, we can have direct impact on the future of neurology in the state of Indiana as well as the entire country.
Our Indiana Neurological Society has experienced significant growth in the last few years. Our educational programs have greatly expanded to include more national speakers and larger audiences. In addition, we now have digital ballots, new member designations to embrace all providers, and soon, a new enhanced website. We continue to explore other benefits the INS can provide to its members. Our fees allow us great benefit! There is a great bang for the buck!
The growth and development of the INS is due to the increased enthusiasm and participation of our members. Please, consider joining those members and become a part of the INS. Take a few moments to complete the membership documents and contact information, as soon as possible. For a $100 member fee or $75 associate member fee, there is no better return for your investment! We think that you will be pleasantly surprised by the new website’s facilitation of this process. We also want to sincerely thank our current members for their renewals!
We, in the INS, look forward to the new and continued members.
Sincerely,
Tom Banas
