Program Objectives
After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Review the common epilepsy etiologies and their potential treatment.
  2. Discuss new strategies for rescue therapy in epilepsy.
  3. Recognize typical seizure features and approach to seizure classification.
  4. Explain mechanisms and preventative strategies of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP).
  5. Apply the optimum diagnosis and management of non-epileptic seizures.

Target Audience
The content of the program is appropriate for healthcare providers who care for, detect, diagnose, manage, and treat patients with seizures and epilepsy.
